Joseph D. Plavec, age 54, died peacefully on July 29th, 2014 surrounded by his family. Joe was born on February 18th, 1960 in West Bend, WI to Joseph and Joan (nee Fellenz) Plavec. He later went on to wed Mary (nee Pfeifer) Plavec on October 22, 1983. He was employed at Serigraph Inc. for 29 years and was an on-call fire fighter in the city of West Bend for 20 years.

Joe is survived by his wife Mary; two daughters Jennifer and Stephanie; mother Joan; brothers Anthony (Jamelee) and Mark (Deborah); mother-in-law Ramona Pfeifer; sister-in-law Nancy Pfeifer and brother-in-law Daniel (Violet) Pfeifer. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joe is preceded in death by his father Joseph; brother Robert; nephew Anthony Plavec II and father-in-law Ruben Pfeifer.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph will be held Thursday July 31, 2014 at 7:00 pm at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church (1025 S. 7th Ave., West Bend, WI) with Father Nathaniel Miniatt presiding. Visitation will be at the CHURCH ONLY on Thursday July 31 from 3:30pm until 6:45pm. Interment will take place at Holy Angels Cemetery on Friday August 1 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the International Myeloma Foundation.
