John T. Roever, age 82, of Slinger, passed away Friday March 9, 2018 at the Kathy Hospice. He was born on March 24, 1935 in Sheboygan to Herbert and Margaret (nee Rueter) Roever and was raised in the Sheboygan area. He graduated in 1953 from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac and later was a US Army veteran. John attended UW Oshkosh where he met his future wife Wanda Ann Taggart. John was the former Vice President of Sales at Amity Leather Products. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed bird hunting, deer hunting, and fishing. John was a friend to all dogs, and a people person who never met a stranger.

John is survived by his children; Mary (John) Macukas and Peter (Ann) Roever, his sister Lynn Senecal, brother- and sister-in-law Tom Goetz and Kathy Larson, many nieces and nephews, granddogs, and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday March 14th at St. Peter Catholic Church (200 E Washington St. Slinger) with Fr. Richard J. Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday March 14th from 10am until 11:15am. Interment will be at New St. Peter Cemetery with full Military Honors.
