Obituary
John M. Resch "JR" passed away peacefully October 17th, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife and children at the age of 73. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Paul and Ruth (nee Zuehlke) Resch.
John attended Custer High School along with his sweetheart Ellen Pashkewitz whom he married in 1969. They lovingly started a family the following year.
John worked 43 years at Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation retiring as a Technical Advisor in 2015.
John devoted his life to his wife and family enjoying his happiest moments celebrating special occasions such as the births of his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Holidays, Kentucky Derby parties, and all the life accomplishments that have come along for his family over time.
John also enjoyed fishing, playing cards like Sheepshead, bowling, golfing, and spending time with his childhood friends. He had a deep passion for music especially John Lennon and The Beatles.
John valued people of all walks of life and their character. He loved to laugh, joke, and tease. John was generous and giving to those in need no matter the cost. He also was the best listener, mentor, and friend. John will be missed for all these reasons and so much more.
John is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ellen( nee Pashkewitz); children, Roxanne Resch, Wendy (Steven) Bessette, Marlene (David) Roberts, Jon (Jessica Townsend) Resch; grandchildren, Olivia (Keanu) Anderson, Macy Roberts, Evan Bessette, Stephanie Bessette; great-grandchildren, Grayson Anderson, Aspyn Anderson; Siblings, Deborah Resch, Lisa Stelmaszewski; Brother-in-Laws, James Pashkewitz, Michael Pashkewitz; Sister-in-Laws, Barbara (William) Church, Kathleen Griffin Pashkewitz. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ruth (nee Zuehlke) Resch and his brother, Thomas Resch. Parents-in-Law Leonard and Ruth Pashkewitz, Brother-in-Laws Leonard Pashkewitz Jr. and Michael Stelmaszewski.
A Memorial Service will be at 1:00PM on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095). Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, October 28th from 11:00AM until 12:45PM.
