Obituary
John H. "Pete" Luehring, of West Bend, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2023, at home surrounded by family.
He was born on March 27, 1933, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of the late John George and Renna (nee Brown) Luehring. He graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee in 1951 and the University of WI in Madison in 1955, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. In 1956, he served 6 months in the US Army Transportation Corps followed by 5 years in the Army Reserves 84 th Division. He had an ROTC commission as a 2 nd Lieutenant.
On March 1, 1957, Pete began a 38-year career in the Purchasing Dept. at the West Bend Aluminum Co.
On March 30, 1957, he was united in marriage to Shirley Ann "Sha" Hendricks, of Oconomowoc, WI. She passed away on October 3, 2019, in West Bend. They are survived by 2 daughters, Wendy (Andrew) Kopca, of Andover, MN and Margo "Meg" Davis of Marietta, GA; 4 grandchildren, Chelsea (Daniel) Jacobson and Ryan Kopca of Andover, MN, Lindsay and Emily Davis Alanta, GA; 4 great-grandchildren, Joanna and Elizabeth Jacobson, Keegan Steffens and Kora Kopca. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
At Pete's request, there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be at 3:00PM on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Calvary Church (1110 East Decorah Rd. West Bend, WI 53095).
