John R. Kraus, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. He was born into the loving arms of Alfred and Ruth (nee Clausing) on November 2, 1946 in Port Washington.

John is survived by his adoring son Matthew (Nancy) Kraus of West Bend; cherished grandchildren, Cameron and Kaleigh Kraus; and brother-in-law, Allyn Ashmore. He is further survived by cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Nancy (nee Ashmore).

A service in honor of John will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 6:00 PM at the Phillip Funeral Home (1420 West Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095) with Pastor Robert Boerner officiating. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM. Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park on Saturday at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kathy Hospice (3200 Pleasant Valley Rd, West Bend, WI 53095).
