, 1951, in Milwaukee, WI, to the late Edward and Mary "Irene" (nee Gilford) Fabitz. John was a graduate of Custer High School in Milwaukee, class of 1970. He was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran. John worked as a delivery driver for UPS for 40 years and was a Teamster Union #344 member, retiring in 2013.
His career as a driver for UPS was one that led him to know and become friends with all the people he met. John knew every address, customer, and dog on his route telling stories and reminiscing even in his final days.
In his younger years, John was an avid outdoorsman who loved every kind of fishing, turkey and deer hunting, trap shooting, playing cards, and doing everything with his black lab Maggie Mae. John also had a passion for landscaping winning the Mayor Beautification Award in 1995. Most of all he loved being with his family and being a grandpa.
John is survived by his children Eric (Tammy) Fabitz, Amy (Scott) Nelson, and Andy Fabitz; former wife Barb Fabitz; grandchildren Maddy and Cameron Nelson, Emery, Easton, and Jax Fabitz; granddog Koda Boda Bear, siblings Dorothy (Richie) Schuetz, Chris (Dave) Pappe, and Dan (Cathy) Fabitz.
