Obituary

John Milton Boldt took his final trip to his heavenly home on February 22, 2023. He was born to Milton Eugene and Elizabeth Louise (nee Mueller) Boldt on May 21, 1948, in Sheboygan, WI.

John lived a life of amazing adventures and service to others. John traveled the globe visiting Europe, Canada, Mexico, and across the United States. John's favorite mode of transport was riding the train. His nieces and nephew have had many memories riding the Amtrak train with Uncle John on one of their many trips together.

John showed his faith by serving humanity. He started at a young age when he served as a boy scout. John continued when he graduated with a master's degree in library science from UW-Oshkosh. John used his degree, while working at Green Bay Reformatory as a Librarian. During John's decades of service, he fostered and encouraged education and learning though curating the library to serve the needs of those who used it. John was well respected both professionally and personally by all he worked with.

John was an active member of his church First Congregational UCC of De Pere, WI. John was always there to lend a helping hand. He was famous for carving the turkeys every year for the Community Thanksgiving Meal.

John will be deeply missed by his sister, whom he was very close to, Margaret (Charles) Schowalter; his sister-in-law, Sharon Boldt; his nieces, Norah (Lucas) Koskovich, Ann Marie (Joe) DiGangi, Cheryl (Jon) Boldt, Jeni (Michael) Kiel; his nephew, Charlie Schowalter; as well as great nieces and nephews, Hannah, Emma and Leah Koskovich, Mya, Will, Tyler and Dominic DiGangi, Delaney and Finn Kiel. He is further survived by his Green Bay community of church friends and neighbors.

John is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved brother Richard Boldt.
