John “Swa” Badten, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 13, 2026 at his home in Hartford. He was born on January 27, 1952 to Norbert and Joan (nee Youngman) Badten. Swa enjoyed his family, his friends and fishing.

John is survived by his wife of 32 years, Heather (nee Buske) Badten; son Steven Badten; brother Tom Turner and his wife Brenda; sister Cynthia; and nephew Jason. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

His family will greet guests on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) from 3:00pm until 4:30pm with a reception to follow.
