It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joelle Lynn Gerlach (nee Nehrbass), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, at the age of 55. Joelle passed away peacefully at her Campbellsport home, surrounded by her family on April 3, 2026. Joelle was born on June 15, 1970 to Joel M. Nehrbass and Linda R (nee Rossow) in West Bend, Wisconsin. She attended St. John’s Lutheran School in West Bend and graduated from Kewaskum High School.
She married the love of her life, Corey Gerlach, on August 27, 1994 and together they built a beautiful life with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Joelle had a passion for the beauty of nature, and every spring, she delighted in planting flowers around her home, transforming it into a vibrant oasis.
She also cherished time at the family cabin in Tomahawk, where she loved to entertain and create lasting memories with her loved ones. Joelle loved her German Shepherds, and Golden Retrievers. She raised many litters of Goldens and loved to see the happiness that a puppy brought to the faces of dozens of families.
Known for her culinary talent, Joelle had a special gift for preparing delicious meals for large gatherings, bringing people together with her warmth and generosity.
Professionally she was a respiratory therapist, known for her compassion and skill in caring for patients. Her commitment to her career reflected her nurturing spirit and desire to make a difference.
She is deeply missed by her husband, her two sons, her grandson, and all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and joy will forever remain in our hearts.
Joelle leaves behind her loving husband, Corey; her sons, Dakota (Aria) and Colton (Sydney); her cherished grandson, Cole. In addition, her mother Linda; mother-in-law, Mickie; brother Jeff (Cindy); sister-in-law, Michele (Jason) Merlino; brothers-in-law, Zach Stamm and Alex(Nicole) Stamm; nephew, Jacob, and nieces, Sarah, Allysa, Samantha and Evellyn. Many friends and extended family as well. All whose lives were forever touched by her love, generosity, and care.
She is preceded in death by her father, Joel Nehrbass; brother, Jamie Nehrbass; and father-in-law, Michael Gerlach, now reunited with them in eternal peace.
A Memorial Service for family and close friends will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church (140 N 7 th Ave., West Bend, WI 53095) on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 11:00am.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Froedtert Hospital but especially Compassus Hospice for their compassion, care, and kindness-Katelyn, Julie and Linnea for their exceptional care.
