Joanne S. Fitzsimons (Nee Horky), Entered into Eternal Life on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the age of 86. The daughter of the late Louis B. and Rose (Nee Schneider) Horky. Beloved wife of Walter A. Fitzsimons Jr. Loving mother of Patricia (Mark) VandenHeuvel, Jacqueline (William) Barnett, Cynthia Manthey, and Robert (Jodi) Stevens. Cherished grandmother of Melissa (Timothy) Walter, Jason (Alisha), and Nathan (Rebecca), Emily (Dan) and Alison Krueger, Richard (Lily), Steven, and David (Stephanie) Manthey, Abigail, and Annabelle Stevens. Proud great-grandmother of Emma, Logan, Abbey, Zach, Tristan, Katie, Wyatt, Evelyn, Addison, Alexandra, Andrea, Adrian, and Steven. Dear sister of Robert Horky. She is further survived by other family and friends. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and infant son Daniel Kent Stevens.

In later life, she achieved her childhood goal of earning a college degree, earning an Associate Degree in Fashion Merchandizing from Madison Area Technical College (MATC). She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lakeland University with a B.A. in Business Administration and a minor in Economics in 1982. She pursued successful careers in securities and insurance and was an active member of the Catholic Church.

Joanne enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved to cook family meals and was a great seamstress. Her greatest joy was time spent with family.

A special Thank You to Cornerstone Assisted Living, where all the staff has loved Joanne for the last eight years. The family greatly appreciated their compassion and care for her.

**A Memorial Service will be HELD on TUESDAY, MAY 24, 2022, at 6:00pm, at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095). Visitation will be at the funeral home on TUESDAY, MAY 24, FROM 4:00pm UNTIL 5:45pm.
