Obituary
Joan Marion Wendt (nee Hastings), age 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. She was born on March 24, 1929 in West Allis, WI to Ralph and Catherine (nee Scherer) Hastings.
Joan is preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred, of 67 years.
Joan had been on Aurora Home Hospice for nearly two years. She welcomed the many visits from her family, enjoyed watching professional baseball and football, and especially loved crossword puzzles and game shows.
Joan is survived by her loving children Fred Jr (Diane), Sandra Faull, Donna (Bill) Koehn, Scott (Mary), Susan Holm (deceased) - Tim (Jackie) Holm, Tom (Jodi), Patti (John) Starich, Matt (Connie, deceased); 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Nancy (Neil) Mertz. She is further survived by other caring relatives and friends.
To honor Joan's wishes, a private service will be held.
