Joan C. (Lorge) Pawlowski age 76, passed away peacefully, at her home in West Bend, on Sunday, September 15, 2013 with her loving husband at her side. Joan was born February 22, 1937, in New London, WI, the daughter of Edward and Veryl (Bechard) Lorge. She married Edward William Pawlowski on June 6, 1959.

Joan is survived by her husband who was her best friend and soul mate; five children: Todd (Jaycel), West Bend; Dawn (Ronald) Tallinger, Waukesha; Connie, Grafton; Mark (Laurie) , Grand Junction, CO; Daniel (Susan), West Bend. Aunt Elaine Bechard, West Bend; Rexford Bechard, Wild Rose. 13 Grandchildren: Jamie, Kari, Erica, Adam, Ronald, Kayla, Carissa, Kaitlyn, Melita, Rhett, Cavan, Macy and Belle. 5 great-grandchildren: Damien, LaMyah, Maleah, Jordynn and Arianna. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott; her parents, brother "Eddie" and grandson Jeremy.

Joan shared a passionate, lifelong relationship with her Lord and Savior. She was a mentor at church, attended faith groups and sang in the choir. She also sponsored children overseas. With her rosary and bible in hand she survived Polio as a child, won the battle against cancer three times, and was taking on the challenges of Parkinson's Disease. Her deep faith in God allowed her to live a confident life filled with many adventures with family and friends.

Her talents and gifts were expressed through her love of her family, gardening and spending time outdoors, writing stories and poems, painting, singing, and dancing with Bill. She loved to decorate for every season and was especially akin to anything with angels. On various occasions she could be found screaming at the TV during a Packer game or impersonating a young girl named "Silly Putty". She also had a propensity for slot machines and has been known to spend "just a few" bucks at the casino. Her home-made potato salad was a family favorite along with her apple pies (which rarely had a chance to cool)!

Mass of Christian Burial to be held Thursday, September 26th at 11am; St Mary's Catholic Church, 406 Jefferson Street, West Bend. Visitation will be held at Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W Paradise Dr., West Bend on Wednesday, Sept 25th 4-6pm and Thursday Sept 26th, 10am at the church until the hour of mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, in memory of Joan.
