Joan S. Marks (nee Fowles) , age 84 years, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Autumn Oaks.

Joan was born on January 1, 1931 in Germantown to Elmer and Leila (nee Traxel) Fowles. She married Robert J. Marks on March 15, 1952. The couple lived in West Bend and Sheboygan and then retired to Mission Texas for 25 years. Joan enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting hats for premature infants, line and polka dancing along with bowling, motorcycling and snowmobiling. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #1398.

Joan is survived by her husband Robert J., daughters Margie (James Sr.) Fellenz, Lynne Gordon, and son Robert P. Marks. She is further survived by her grandchildren James Jr. (Jennifer Fellenz), Julie King, Travis (Brandice) Gordon, Andrew Marks, Alexander Marks, Alyssa Marks, great-grandchildren Jaimie, Tyler, Madison, Mya and Ava, Trinity, Brody, Nolan, Alexis, Regan and Hayden, great-great grandchildren Caleb and Lylah, sister Judy Gillis, sister-in-law Rosetta (James) Witzlib. Preceded in death by her parents, grandson Nicholas, brother Lyle (Marge), brother-in-law John Marks.

A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with Father Jerome Repenshek presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 22 from 3:00 pm until time of service (6:00 pm). In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the charity of your choice.
