Joan M. Bellon (nee Melk), 93, passed away on April 14, 2026 at the Cedar Lake Health Center in West Bend. She was born on November 1, 1932 in Milwaukee to the late Philip and Helen Melk, Sr. She married Bruce J. Bellon in 1953, who preceded her in death in 2019. Her brother, Philip Melk Jr. also precedes her in death.

Joan was always looking for a bargain and getting coupons. She watched Catholic Mass and recited The Rosary every day. She enjoyed socializing at Cedar Ridge Apartments for the past seven years and spending time with her family.

Joan is survived by her son, Michael (Nancy) Bellon and her daughter, Jean Bellon-Skaggs; grandchildren, Scott (Cindy) Bellon, Kevin Bellon and Elizabeth Skaggs (Jake Hammond); her great-granddaughter, Samantha Bellon and her brother, John (Karen) Melk. She is fondly remembered by Kathy and Stan Plageman, Edward Bellon and other relatives and friends.

Special thanks to Mary at Common Heart Hospice and the staff at Cedar Lake—Lakeside for the wonderful care and for the activities they provided, which Joan enjoyed.

The family will have a private ceremony at a later time.

Joan will be laid to rest with Bruce at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
