Jerome G. Wenninger, age 88 years, passed away Thursday June 16, 2016 at the Pavilion at Glacier Valley in Slinger. He was born on May 23, 1928 in Hubertus to John and Anna (nee Heindel) Wenninger. Jerome was the owner of Ackerville Lawn and Garden for many years. Jerome loved to repair anything, enjoyed spending time in Texas, riding his ATV, working in his garden, but especially loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Dusty Trails ATV Club.

Jerome is survived by his children; Tony D. (Linda), Daniel L. (Debra), Laurie B. (Robert) Legate, Lynn A. (Edward) Witczak, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sisters; Ruth Kohlbeck, Jean (Whitey) Konrath, Joan (Walter) Breu, daughters-in-law, Kathy and Kerry, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce, sons Jerome F. and Arnold, granddaughter Andrea Blanchard, his brothers Roy, Herbert and Eugene, sisters Lucille Gangware, Othilda Gundrum, and Bernice Pfeiffer.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 6:00 pm at Resurrection Catholic Church (215 Main St., Allenton, WI 53002). Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 22nd at the church from 3:00 pm until 5:45 pm. Interment will be at New St. Peter's Cemetery in Slinger. Memorials to St. Peter's Church Building Fund (208 E Washington St, Slinger, WI 53086) are appreciated.
