Obituary

Jerome "Jerry" C. Peters, 79, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jerry was born on September 20, 1946. Beloved son of Florence and Arthur Krouse.  He married the love of his life Joy Schubert on Feb. 4th, 1967, Together they were blessed with 2 daughters Tammy and Amy, 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren in which he was very proud of. From those who knew him from his earliest days, Jerry had a fishing rod in his hand. His love for the water was a defining characteristic, and he found the greatest peace on the lake, a tradition he passed on through generations to come. Jerry and Joy's love for adventure led them to travel the world, creating unforgettable memories with their family and friends. Jerry, known for his unwavering work ethic and physical strength. He took immense pride in his work as a concrete mason. He was a proud member of the union for 30+ years.

Jerry was a loving husband of 58 years to Joy; loving father to Tammy (Yuri) Rokicki and Amy (Curt) Stoffel; loving grandfather to Izzy Hmircik (Steve), late Jeff Stoffel, Ashley Stoffel, Taylor Hmircik (Clint), Becca (Mike) Casanova, Bradley Testroete, Mac Stoffel, Nicole Testroete; loving great-grandfather to Kyla Weber, Lexi & Avery Hmircik, Emmerson, Beau & Rhett Weber, Otto Walli, Enzo & Adaline Testroete, Ruby & Rosie Walli, Lane Casanova; loving brother to, late Elaine (Lyod) Wagner, late Arleene (late Dick) DeRosia, late James Peters, late Eugene (Diane) Peters, late Lois Robison, Dawn Gifford (Tom), Steve ( Sandy) Schubert, Wendy (Kip) Lang, John (Laurie) Schubert, late Marianne (late James) Balzer, Ed (Jean) Lemay, Aggie (John) Thelen, late Carol (late Lester) Kolbe, late Robin (Kathy) Lemay, Mike (Georgiana) Lemay, Pat ( late Pam) Lemay, Peter (Barb) Lemay, Joanne (late Gary) Krahn, Mark (Tammy) Lemay, Lisa (Rick) Koester and Dee Dee (late Brian) Mesick. A loving uncle that adored his many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by other relatives and many caring friends and neighbors.

The family would like to send special thanks to Dave & Becky Fritsche and Brad Davis. Words cannot express how grateful we are for your help, support, and kindness during this difficult time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your constant encouragement and support these last months.

A Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held on December 7th, 1pm - 4pm at the Stoffel Farm.
