Jerome W. "Jerry" VanErem
Passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the age of 71, after a tragic accident. Jerry was born in De Pere, WI, the son of the late Arthur and Caroline Van Erem. He married Debra K. Kelly on August 24, 1984. Jerry was a person that would truly help anyone he came across. All his neighbors were happy to see him coming down the sidewalk to help with their trash bins. Jerry would buy the people at the vegetable stand a smoothie. Jerry would also put out dog treats along with the water. He also enjoyed retirement, working part time at Kwik Trip as a food demonstrator. Jerry was the "Good Samaritan" that we all strive to be. He was an avid walker; if it was with his dog Summer or by himself, he would walk every day. Every year when the family would go and visit De Pere, they had to have the "famous brother" picture. Most of all he loved to pamper his wife.
Jerry is survived by his wife Debra K. Van Erem, of 39 years; brothers Clete Van Erem, and Howard Van Erem; sister-in-law Marilyn Shook; four-legged fur baby Summer and Cockatiel Barney; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dale and Tom Van Erem.
It was Jerry's wish to have no funeral services.
