Jerome R. Boehnlein "Jerry", age 86, of West Bend, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015, at Cedar Community. He was born on April 23, 1929 in New Holstein, WI to Benjamin and Hilda (nee Awe) Boehnlein. Jerome was in the Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Wisconsin Bell as a Marketing Manager for the Milwaukee District for 36 years and retired July 17, 1984. Jerome's hobbies included fishing, camping and hunting with the boys. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 36 and a Pioneer at AT&T.
Jerome is survived by his wife Yvonne (nee Vachon); children Mark, Kay (Jeffrey) McClure, Charles (Mary), Ann (Neal) Russo, David (Yuko); grandchildren Travis, Shannon, J.R.; step-grandchild Michael and brother James (Ruby). He is further survived by nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Jerome is preceded in death by his parents and first wife Ione Engelbrecht.
Visitation will be held at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N.8 Ave., West Bend) on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 9:30AM until the time of Mass. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church at 10:30AM with Father Gerry Brittain presiding. Full Military Honors and luncheon to follow. Inurnment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Box 13067, Alexandria, VA 22312).
