Jennifer Olivia Johnson of West Bend, Wisconsin passed away on Monday, June 12th, 2023 at
the age of 31 with her loving parents by her side. Jennifer was born on November 1st, 1991 to Michael Scott Johnson and Nancy Ann Yahr Johnson in Barrington, Illinois.
Although Jennifer faced many hardships due to neurodiversity and epilepsy, she lived her life to
the fullest with the support of her caring family. She enjoyed games: the porcupine game, UNO
Attack, the marbles game, Horse Opoly, and Candyland just to name a few. She was skilled at
puzzles, and enjoyed "the Bees movie" and horse CD for entertainment too. Jennifer loved
hobbies for each season: raking leaves in the fall, decorating and marveling at her Christmas
tree and shoveling snow in winter, pulling dandelions and helping dad in the yard in spring, and
going to the county fair in summer. She also got a kick out of going to the carwash and gas
station.
After graduating high school from West Bend West in 2013, Jennifer attended Golden Pearl in
Richfield, Wisconsin. Jennifer found great happiness in van rides to the center, and time spent
with the accepting and fun staff and participants. Jennifer also took pleasure in horse therapy
and music therapy.
Jennifer will be remembered by her wonderful smile, her crazy socks, and her humorous
phrases.
Jennifer is survived by her father- Michael, mother- Nancy, sister- Allison Kloehn, brother-in-law David Kloehn, grandmothers- Audrey Yahr and Lynn Johnson, uncles, aunts, cousins, and
friends.
Preceding her in death were her grandfathers- Allen Yahr and Warren Johnson, and aunty Mary Yahr.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Golden Pearl staff; music therapist- Kelly;
respite caregivers- Betty Jo, Heather, Julia, and Jennifer; and the compassionate staff at Kathy
