Helton, Jay Dee, 67, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 after a long illness. Jay was born on September 10, 1946 to Foriest and Jean (nee Millsop) Helton in Milwaukee, WI. He graduated in 1964 from Wauwatosa West High School and married his partner, Linda (nee Seder) Helton of 30 years on May 22, 1992. Jay worked as a machinist at Wisconsin Motors and Wesbar Corporation for many years. He had a love for music and Harleys. He also enjoyed playing cribbage, camping at the lake and loved to have parties.

Jay is survived by his wife Linda; children Jason Helton and Beth (Matt) Goetsch; step-children Laura Reske, Sharon (Doug) Gastrau and Michael Zirger; grandchildren Justin Mertz, Brittnie Helton, Madie Goetsch, Evie Goetsch, Norman Goetsch, Alyssa Reske, Rebecca Reske and Gillian Gastrau; great-granddaughter Stella Helton; brother Charles (Anita) Wickman, sister Nancy (Doug) Goebel and best friend Pat (Earl) Dewane. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jay is preceded in death by his father, Annette Helton "Ma", his son Jamie and brother Ted Helton.

A visitation for Jay will be Friday, February 7, 2014 from 5:00PM until 6:45PM at the Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend, WI, 53095). Funeral Service to follow at 7:00PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Washington County Humane Society (36505 State Rd 60, Slinger, WI, 53086)
