Janet R. Raith (nee Schiller), age 76 years of West Bend, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehab.

Janet was born on December 18, 1940 to Norbert and Erna (nee Kufahl) Schiller in Barton. Graduated from West Bend High School, class of 1958. She lived in Germantown where she raised her family and later moving to West Bend. Attended Moraine Park Technical College and graduated with an Associate Degree in accounting. Owner and operator of Our Place Bar in Summit Lake, WI where she met the love of her life John. They were married on January 5, 1980 in Elcho, WI. In 1987, the couple moved to Dubois, WY where she worked for the Rustic Pine Restaurant doing accounting. After retirement, they moved back to West Bend to be close to her family. Janet loved painting, gardening and gambling, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her loving husband John, children Cindy (Mike) Tennies, Charles Gettelman, Andrew (Kathy) Gettelman, David (Debbie) Gettelman. She is further survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, son-in-law Mark Herrmann, siblings Jim (Diane) Schiller, Eileen (Dale) Eckert, sister-in-law Mary Schiller, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, daughter Linda, brother Richard.

A Funeral Service will be at 6:00pm on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with Rev. David Kellerman presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, March 13 from 3:00 pm until time of service (6:00pm).
