Janeen Catherine Oswald (née Mack), “Jeany,” 71, entered her eternal heavenly home on September 26, 2026, surrounded by family at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jeany was born on May 27, 1955, to William and Jeanette (née Tennies) Mack and grew up in Richfield, Wisconsin, with her seven siblings. A dedicated mother, she raised her sons, Jarrod and Kevin, at their Pike Lake home before marrying Dean Oswald in 1990. Together, they welcomed their son, Ryan, completing their close-knit family.

In 1995, Jeany founded Picture Perfect Designs, a home-based embroidery business that enabled her the flexibility to raise her family, care for her aging parents, and be available to those the Lord brought into her life who needed a friend. Jeany lived out her deep faith daily through demonstrating selflessness, empathy, and an unshakeable spirit of generosity. A vibrant presence in any room, she was quick with a story, an opinion, or advice (whether requested or not!), and was always the first to offer assistance. Life with Jeany was never dull. She treasured her role as a grandmother to eight, and loved dancing, live music, camping, kayaking, bowling, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.

When diagnosed with cancer in 2024, Jeany faced her journey with resilience and optimism. Even amid significant pain and discomfort, she maintained hope for a full recovery. Second only to her desire to heal was her selfless wish that her experience might help doctors learn more to save others facing the same disease. Throughout her treatment, her husband, Dean, faithfully and sacrificially supported her practical and emotional needs. She finished her earthly journey as she wished—at home, surrounded by the family and friends to whom she had given so much love over her lifetime.

Jeany is survived by her husband of 35 years, Dean; her children, Jarrod (Heather) Roll, Kevin (Joy) Roll, and Ryan (Mollie) Oswald; and her beloved grandchildren, Jedidiah, Stella, Benjamin, and Asher (children of Jarrod and Heather); and Nathaniel, Oliver, Vera, and Everett (children of Kevin and Joy). She is also survived by her brothers, James, Charles, and Howard (Sandra) Mack; her sisters, Mary Hopfensperger and Diane Jean; and her siblings-in-law, David Quandt, Phyllis Oswald, Sally Oswald, Sharon Remillard, and Terri Hamilton. She is further survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jeanette Mack; her parents-in-law, Frank and Laura Oswald; and her sisters, Barbara Hopfensperger, Catherine Ward, and Christine Quandt; her brothers-in-law, Ken Hopfensperger, Brad Jean, Roger Hopfensperger, Harold Oswald, Harold Murphy, Gerald Remillard, Dennis Oswald, and Jeff Hamilton; and her sisters-in-law, Marjorie Mack, Elaine Oswald, Carol Murphy, and Marlene Oswald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Friday, October 2, 2026, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 1200 St. Gabriel Way, Hubertus, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the Mass at noon. Luncheon to follow.
