James "Jim" Peter Sprader, 77 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, sailed off Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Terrebonne General Medical Center. He was born on Saturday, November 23, 1940, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, son of the late John Francis Sprader and Gertrude (nee Lund) Sprader.

Mr. Sprader worked as a machinist in the steel industry and was also a US Army and US Coast Guard Veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Mary (nee Kuhn) Sprader; children, James (Sandra), Michael, Phillip (Jamie), Kevin (Sharon), Rhonda (Timothy) Bleichwehl; acquired daughter Ronda (Shawn) Geiger; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Lawrence (Lee), Bernice King, Gladys Aquilera, Helen (Duane) Engel and Darlene Eklund. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his first wife, Reva (nee Hart) Sprader, acquired son Jason Blanke, grandson Jonathan Sprader, brother Arthur Sprader and sister Shirley McDowell.

A Memorial Service will be at 6:00PM on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Deacon Mike Koebel presiding. Visitation will be Friday May 11th, at the funeral home, from 3:00PM until the time of the service (6:00PM). Private Interment Monday, May 14, 2018.
