April 6, 1948 to November 10, 2024
Jim was born on April 6th, 1948 to Ted and Marian Saltz in Milwaukee, WI. He died on November 10th, 2024, at the farm he loved.
Jim met and fell in love with Donna Veraner, they married on October 5th, 1974, and remained married until Donna's passing in 2020.
Jim had a brilliant mind when it came to mechanics; there wasn't anything mechanical that Jim couldn't fix or redesign so that it worked better. If Jim was told something wasn't working, he would apply his magic and all would be well again.
Jim loved farming; he and Donna started a small farm outside West Bend, eventually moving to the farm in Allenton. They raised beef, Angus specifically, as this was the breed of choice within the extended Saltz family.
Jim and Donna believed in the agricultural industry to the point of creating and supporting a scholarship fund for high school students planning to focus on the agriculture industry as their career.
Jim leaves behind many loving family members and friends, and his best buddy Paisley. He will be remembered with many smiles and tears, and a cold beer in hand.
A Celebration of Life for both Jim and Donna will be held at a later date.
