Obituary
James M. Nelson, of Oak Creek, WI, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026. He was born in Detroit, MI in 1943. Jim grew up in Milwaukee, WI and graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School and Carthage College. After serving 2 years in the U.S. Army, he joined Northwestern Mutual Life team. Jim enjoyed football, skiing and golfing with his many friends from school and work. He will be missed!
Jim is survived by his sister, Kris Giese; nephews, David and Mark Giese, Andrew Melzer and niece, Julia Melzer. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Shirley Nelson; sister, Karen Melzer and brother-in-law, David Melzer.
A private burial will take place at Arlington Park Cemetery in Greenfield, WI.
In lieu of a funeral visitation, spend some time with family and loved ones!
