James Stanley (JJ) Miller, 95, passed away peacefully at his home in West Bend, Wi on Sunday, July 20, 2025, after a courageous 2-yr battle with cancer.
James was born on October 1, 1929 to James & Lillian (Shaw) Miller in Park Falls, WI. Preceding James in death are 8 siblings.
James married Elizabeth Wagner (d. 7-10-2015) on October 16, 1954. James is survived by four children: Gail (Eduardo) Ramirez, of Kewaskum, WI, Stan (Dawn) Miller of Germantown, WI, Patricia (Tom) Monday, of Kewaskum, and Erin (John) Couillard of Mosinee, WI.
James was grampa to 9 grandchildren: Christopher (Christine) Ramirez, Jason Ramirez, Nicole (Nick) Holmberg, Amber (Andy) Sims, Joshua (Lindsey) Miller, Kenton Miller, Shannon (Austin) Prusha, Joseph (Autymn) Jenz, MacKenzie (Alex) Jenz. And 13 great grandchildren: Conor, Havana, Lucas, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Oliver, Harlan, Ridge, Emery, Ellie, Juniper, Saylor, and Livia.
The majority of James' over-the-road semi truck driving career was for Kimberly Clark with an impeccable driving record of over one million miles without an accident. After retiring, he drove school bus for several years. He loved children.
James was a Korean War veteran, and an active member of the American Legion for 50 years. He was an avid sports fan, loved reading the newspaper, and his favorite song was 'My Way' by Frank Sinatra. That's how he lived his life, and how he left this world. His way. Thank you for everything, Dad. We love you.
James was a good man. He loved God, his country, life, and his family deeply. He touched the lives of many with his wit and wisdom, and old-fashioned common sense advice. He enjoyed being active. Always 'raring to go', and willing to help others. He will be greatly missed.
Since James hosted a 90th birthday party, (celebration of life), which was attended by many, many family members and friends, he requested a private burial ceremony. Thank you to Phillips Funeral Home for services.
