James R. Krueger "Jim", age 52, passed away at home with his family by his side on Thursday, April 16, 2015. He was born on August 17, 1962 in West Bend to Butch and Joyce (nee Fahney) Krueger. He met Julie (nee Lauters) and they married on August 12, 1983. Jim was the owner of Jim Krueger Roofing and Siding.
Early in his working years, Jim was involved with horse shoeing. Later he enjoyed running his own saw mill. Jim enjoyed calf roping and was involved in the WHSRA, IRA, PRCA and the Wasaukee Horseman's Club. He also liked the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He enjoyed going out west, up north and visiting western Wisconsin. He also spent time salmon fishing on Lake Michigan. Jim was known for being able to fix most anything. Another one of Jim's hobbies was wood working. He would build something for the challenge and then move on to something new. As a child he disassembled his toys just to put them back together again.
Jim is survived by his wife of 31 years, Julie; children Joshua (Dana), Justin (Becky); grandchildren Amberlee, Harper, Kaden and Sawyer; Mother Joyce; Brothers Mike (Patti), Ken (Tracy); Parents-in-law James (Joann) Lauters; brother-in-laws Jerry, Jed and Jon; Further survived by a niece, nephews and other relatives and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his father Butch.
A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg (521 Congress St. Newburg, WI 53090) on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 3:00 PM with Father Kevin Kowalske presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
