James "Jim" A. Biertzer, age 87, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024. He was born in Barton, WI on December 14, 1936 to Peter and Ida (nee Meyer) Biertzer. Jim served his country in the US Navy 1955-1957. He married Mary (nee Blazel) on April 23, 1960. Jim worked at Dostal & Lowey in Menomonee Falls until 1988 when he retired due to an injury. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and Wytheville, VA Moose Lodge. Jim enjoyed hunting playing cards (sheepshead, cribbage), fishing golfing, and camping. He also coached West Bend Little League and Senior League. Jim's greatest pleasure was watching his 3 grandson's and 3 step grandchildren in the various sport activities. He was also an avid watcher of NASCAR, Brewers and Packers.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are: his wife of 64 years, Mary; 3 boys, Dan of Wytheville; VA, Bruce (Gena) and Kevin (Stacy) of West Bend; 3 grandchildren, Travis, Casey Cody and 3 step grandchildren Kadin (fiancé Chelsea Brew) Davis, Callie (fiancé Jacob Bickert) and Casey Ahlm; sister JoAnn Lentz; brother Donald Biertzer; sister-in-law Bonnie Christ; brother-in-law Vic Tock; along with his many nieces, nephews and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Lawrence and Marcella Blazel, siblings; Miland Biertzer, Goldie Schmidt and Beady Dahm, brothers-in-law's David Blazel Al Christ, Marc Kleinhaus, Gerhard Schmidt, David Lentz and Norman Dahm, sisters-in-law Virgina Biertzer, Jean Tock, Becky Blazel, Mary Ann Biertzer, and Bernie Biertzer.

A Funeral Service will be at 6:00PM on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Military Honors to follow. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, May 16

from 3:00PM until 5:45PM. Private family entombment will be at Washington County Memorial Park.
