James Oliver Bernard, 87, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. He was born on May 5, 1927 in Bayfield, Wisconsin to John and Eva (nee Nelson). He married the late Lorrie (nee Orlinski) on February 6, 1954 in Milwaukee. Jim retired at the age of 80 from Coca Cola Company in Prescott, Arizona where he was known as "The Coca Cola Man" and then returned to Wisconsin. He was a crossing guard for West Bend School District for several years. He enjoyed taking walks, golfing, working out, bowling, and watching all sports. His greatest love was for the Lord and his wife, "Mabel."
He is survived by his children: Jean (Darrell) Pearcy of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Debbie (Jeff) Roemer of West Bend, and Shelly (Roger) Stalter of Prescott, Arizona; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and three more on the way; twin brother John (Lynn) Bernard of Bartow, Florida; sister-in-law Pearl (Bob) Schaefer of Illinois and brother-in-law Raymond Grieger of Florida. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend). The Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, December 12th from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.
