James H. Basler, of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the Cedar Lake Home. He was 90 years old. He was born on October 18, 1925 in Allenton to Jacob and Anna (nee Hauschild) Basler. He graduated from Slinger High School as Valedictorian in 1942.

James had a passion for farming, working in his machine shop and loved the joy of the simple things in life.

James is survived by one nephew. James is further survived by other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Evelyn Oehafen. A private inurnment will take place.
