Holly Jean Luebke (nee Young) age 71, went home to heaven on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 after a courageous 3 week battle of known pancreatic cancer. Her wish of being home to see her grandchildren was accomplished. She was born on June 29, 1951 in Milwaukee to Robert and Doris (nee Walton) Young. In 1969, Holly graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School and in her last 3 months of senior year, she met her love, Douglas R. Luebke. They married on August 28, 1971 at Centennial Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Together they lived out their dreams! Holly raised her 4 children and enjoyed working for the Hamilton School District in kitchen services all the years her kids attended. Later she enjoyed working at the local bank in Sussex. In 1985, they built their dream home up north in Three Lakes, WI. Once retirement happened, they were able to not only go up north for the summers, but able to use their RV for the winters traveling south to Florida and enjoyed stops along the way. Holly's passion was her family. She centered her life around her children and especially grandchildren's sports and events. Holly loved to cook, bake, read, bulldogs, moose, Three Lakes and especially the beach and the ocean. She was the most amazing wife, mom and grandma "Gma", and more - who will be greatly missed! Holly leaves behind her love of 51 years (together 53), Doug Luebke; her children, Carrie (Patrick) Buchanan, Brett (Colleen Miller), Brad (Kelly) and Courtney (Jeremy) Husby; her pride and joys-the grandchildren, Sean, Alex and Nate Buchanan, Ryan, Morgan and Madelyn Luebke, and Laila Husby; and let's not forget her lovable grand dogs, Jameson Buck Buchanan (Boxer), Paisley Mae and Olive Bear Luebke (Basset Hounds), Winnie and Stella Beyonce Husby (Chiweenie and Chihuahua). Holly is further survived by her siblings-in-law, Lin (Bruce) Moore, Sue (Rich) Lehfeldt, Dave (Mary) Luebke, Scott (Aleta) Luebke, many nieces, nephews, sisters Tierney and Tracy Young, other relatives and friends. Holly is preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law Walter and June Luebke, sisters-in-law Gail Luebke and Sheri Luebke, her nephew Danny Moore and her precious dogs Louie, Maggie, Isabella and Greta. A Funeral Service will be at 6:00PM on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church (W244 N6383 Weaver Dr. Sussex, WI 53089) with Reverend Bruce Marggraf and Reverend Matthew Schaewe presiding. A gathering of friends and family will be prior at church on Tuesday, September 6th from 4:00PM until 5:45PM. A Private Family Entombment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park. We would like to extend a special thank you to the very short, yet exceptional service provided by Promedica Hospice!
