Herta E. Moore (nee Schoedel) "Emmi", age 79, of West Bend, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2014, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Munchberg, Germany, on August 23, 1934, to Frederick and Herta G. (nee Schaale) Schoedel. Herta married David G. Moore in 1956 in Munchberg, and she came to the United States to live with her husband and raise a family. Herta attended UWWC and UW-Milwaukee, graduating in 1981 with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She was employed as an office manager for the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee until her retirement in 2005.

Herta's favorite pastimes were her flower gardens and preparing meals for her family. She cherished her family.

Herta is survived by her husband of 58 years, David G.; children David F. (Lisa) Moore, Paul (Elizabeth) Moore and Ken Moore; grandchildren Grant, Amalia "Mali" and Alicia "Ali"; sister Hilda (John) Wahl; sister-in-law Diane (James) Sweitzer; brother-in-law Robert Pounds; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents and sister Franziska Pounds.

Private services were held.
