Herbert (Herbie) Paul Buettner, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 24, 2016. He was born to Fred and Pauline (Nee Ilguth) Buettner on January 20, 1942 in Germany. He married Sandra Schultz on April 26, 1969 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and together they had 2 children.

Herbert is survived by his children Paul (Jill) Buettner and Dawn (Patrick) Wiebelhaus; his grandchildren, Amber, Jonathan, Julia; his special friend Janet Youmans; siblings, Erhard (Carol) Buettner and Edith Opitz; sister-in-law, Maria "Resi" Buettner; mother-in-law, Eleanore Schultz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sandra, his brother Walter; brother-in-law Gerhard Opitz.

A celebration of Herbie's life will be held at the Fillmore Turner Hall (523 Hwy H, Fredonia, WI) from 1:00-5:00PM on Sunday, April 3, 2016
