Helen E. Hawken (nee Greve), age 95, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015. She was born on July 30, 1920 to Louis and Helen (nee Owen) Greve. Helen was in the first graduating class of Rufus King High School, in Milwaukee, in 1938. Helen met William Hawken at Fort Sheridan, IL during the end of WWII when he returned from the war in 1945. She had worked on the base as a stenographer for the Department of Defense. They married June 8, 1946 and went on to have two sons. They lived in Milwaukee until 1976 then moved to Cedarburg.

Helen is survived by sons: William (Sandra) and Timothy (Linda); grandchildren: Kaitlin, Kelsey and Tyler. She is preceded in death by her husband, William and brothers: Arthur and Louis Greve.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise DR., West Bend, WI) at 7:00PM. The visitation will be at the funeral home from 5:00PM until the time of the service. Interment will take place at Valhalla Memorial Park in Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the family.
