Gregg A. Grimm passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at the age of 56 years.
Gregg was born on April 15, 1957 in Oshkosh to Garth and Kathleen (nee Blumenberg) Grimm. He was raised in Oshkosh and graduated from Oshkosh North High School. Gregg went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He then married Linda Brummel on June 25, 1983 in Watertown.
Gregg worked in the grocery industry for nearly 40 years, beginning at the age of 16. His employers included Kohl's Food Stores, Prescott's Supermarkets, and most recently, Roundy's, Inc. He also was the owner/operator of Grimm's Dollar Express in West Bend and Hartford from 2003-2008. Gregg served as a fantastic leader and mentor in his industry.
Gregg enjoyed summer vacations with his family in Waupaca and winter vacations near the ocean. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan as well. He was a member of the West Bend Lions Club for many years.
Gregg is survived by his children Matthew (Michelle), Nicholas (Renee), and Elizabeth; mother Kathleen Grimm; and former spouse Linda Grimm. He is further survived by his siblings Jon (Helen), Gary (Iris), Tami (Chuck) Stencel, and Todd (Sharon), and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Gregg is preceded in death by his father Garth, brother Randy, and beloved dog Maggie.
Visitation will be at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Dr. in West Bend from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2013. A Funeral Service for Gregg will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
