Grace M. Goff (nee DeRosia), of West Bend passed away peacefully following a short illness on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. She was born on August 26 in Ironwood, Michigan to the late Alfred and Isabelle (Graham) DeRosia. She graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood. She later moved to Milwaukee and married Lieutenant Edward Neville in 1942. He died in combat in 1944. On October 11, 1946, she married Vester "Speed" Goff in Detroit, Michigan. After the birth of their daughter, Darlene, they returned to Milwaukee.
Grace was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. The bond she shared with her daughter was unique and was a true friendship. Another special relationship also included her granddaughter and great grandaughter, Gracie. The four of them at times were inseparable. The times they shared together will remain treasured memories forever. We will miss her "Christmas stuffing", her sense of humor and her pleasant disposition. Grace always enjoyed being with her family and friends. She loved to have a good time, her wit and sassiness always kept everyone entertained. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed running the catering service at the General Motors Training Center in Milwaukee for many years. She was also the bookkeeper at Light Power. Through the years, she enjoyed playing Sheepshead and Bridge as well as bowling with her dear friends.
Grace was a member of Runge Bros. Auxiliary #1691 and MOCA Pup Tent #28. She was also the past State President of the VFW Auxiliary serving 1964-1965. Grace was a member of the Fifth Avenue Methodist Church in West Bend.
Grace is survived by her daughter, Darlene Indermuehle. Her granddaughter, Amy (Jeff) Kondrakiewicz and three great grandchildren, Christian, Grace and Aiden. Further survived by six step-grandchildren and their spouses, eleven step-great grandchildren, and three step-great great grandchildren. Also survived by four special nephews and their families.
Grace is preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Raymond Indermuehle, brothers Robert (Mildred) and Gerald (Patricia) DeRosia.
Funeral services for Grace will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church (323 S. Fifth Avenue, West Bend) with Rev. Clarissa Martinelli presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 4-6PM., with a service at 6:00PM. Private interment will take place at Valhalla Cemetery, Milwaukee, WI. Memorials to the church are appreciated.
