Obituary
Gordon Charles Held, age 94, passed away late on October 14, 2025. He was born on April 4, 1931 to Frank and Veronica (nee Hartman) Held. Gordon enjoyed watching any kind of sports, playing golf, going bowling, listening to music, going to church and playing bingo. Most of all he enjoyed his wife and children.
Gordon is survived by his 5 children, Steven (Kathy), Kathleen (John) Brinkman, Michael (Gale), Patricia and Marybeth (Jesse) Burg; grandchildren Brian Melms, Jessica (Stan) Hubbard, Julianna (Andy) Mentel, Alyssa (Tyler) Wolfe, , Katie, Daniel Brinkman, Nick (Allison), Matthew Brinkman, Braden Burg, Keaton Burg; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Kenadi, Kylee, Sophia, Micah, Atticus, Calvin, Arden, Asher. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Gordon is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Joanne; his parents, Frank and Veronica Held; his mother-in-law Camille Draws; siblings Ray (Dorothy), Sister Ronald, Gus (Marge), Valeria (Ken) Auler, Ronald (Marian).
A Memorial Mass will be at 11:00am on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N 8 th Ave. West Bend, WI 53095). Visitation will be at church on Saturday, October 25 th from 9:30am until 10:45am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Holy Angels or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A special thank you to the loving staff at The Waterford at West Bend.
