Goldie G. (Dreger) Richson, 97, of West Bend, died of natural causes at her home on Thursday, April 28, 2016.
Goldie was born in Minnesota and moved to Wisconsin in a covered wagon at the age of three. She lived in Couderay, Superior, Milwaukee, Slinger, and West Bend. Goldie had an easy laugh, a deep love for her family, was extremely outgoing and a formidable card player.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Alvin L. Richson, their son Floyd Richson, and granddaughter Dawn.
She is survived by her daughter Judith (Richson) Zunker; six grandchildren, Cynthia Richson (Larry), Dana Richson (Bryan), Brett Richson (Karyl), Kimberly (Zunker) Cook (Jeremiah), Todd Zunker (Colleen); three great-grandchildren, Liliana Cook, McKenzie Zunker, Madison Zunker, and step great-grandchild Jennifer (Amos) Besaw; two step great-great grandchildren Kaely and Kya Besaw; daughter-in-law Judy (Schmitt) Richson and many, many nieces and nephews. We love her and will miss her.
Visitation will be held at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church (777 S. Indiana Avenue) on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m. A graveside service and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Couderay, Wisconsin.
