Gloria L. Canales (nee Wicklund), age 79, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017. She was born on March 19, 1938 in Milwaukee to David and Irene (nee Eckert) Wicklund and graduated from Messmer High School. She married John Rudy Canales on November 21, 1960 and was employed at Walgreens in Glendale.
Gloria enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking and dancing. She liked going to Potawatomi Casino, playing cards and being outdoors. She enjoyed spending time with the neighborhood gals, her family, and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband John; children, Jackie (Patrick) Hayes, Alan, Gail (Kevin) Kowalkowski; grandchildren, Bethany, Michael and Matthew Canales; Jacob and Tyler Kowalkowski, Callie and Ana Hayes; sister Norma Jean Huzjak; other relatives and friends.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents; brother Donald Wicklund; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The Funeral Service will be on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend). The Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 22nd from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (PO Box 902, Pewaukee, WI 53072) or Washington County Aging and Disability Resource Center (333 E Washington St, #1000, West Bend, WI 53095).
