Geraldine L. "Geri" Konrath (nee Schmitt) joined her loving husband Bob in Eternal Life on March, 24, 2018 at the age of 93. She passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital in West Bend. Geri was born November 15,1924 in the town of Polk to the late William and Lillian (nee Heppe) Schmitt and was raised on the family farm. Geri graduated from West Bend High School in 1943. She and Robert "Bob" Konrath were united in marriage on November 30,1946 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Slinger.
As a member of St. Peter Parish Geri served as an active member of The Christian Women's Society, Legion of Mary, Friends of Faith, and the Bereavement Committee. Geri was an active member of the Zunker-Held V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary where she served for many years as their treasurer.
Geri loved watching sports to include Buck's Basketball, Brewer Baseball, Nascar Racing, and the Green Bay Packers. She loved playing Sheepshead with her friends, but mostly loved spending time with her family and friends that stopped in to visit her often.
Geri is survived by her four children, Patricia (Ken) Leeson of Slinger, Karen (Dan) Puls of Slinger, Mary Beth (Ken) Strupp of West Bend, and Michael (Pam) Konrath of Slinger. She was the proud Grandmother of Ken (Lisa) Leeson of Cottage Grove, Minn., Brian (Renee) Leeson of Random Lake, Shelly (Lawrence) Napier of Hartford, Melissa (Chris) Wacek of Colgate, Rob Konrath of St. Petersburg, Fl., Meghan Konrath of Slinger, Kelly (Travis) Opheim of Breckenridge, Co., John (Mandy) Puls of Slinger, Kim (Mike) Strupp Anderson of Denver, Co., and Kyle Strupp of Madison.
Geri was also a proud Great Grandmother of thirteen, and a Great Great Grandmother of six. Geri dearly loved all of her nieces and nephews, and all of her relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert; three sisters Isabelle Weber, Marguerite Gundrum, and Annette Wiedmeyer; and three brothers-in-law Wally Weber, Jerry Gundrum, and Giles Wiedmeyer.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church at 200 East Washington St., Slinger, Wisconsin with Father Richard J. Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday, March 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Memorials to St. Peter Endowment Fund (208 E Washington St., Slinger, WI 53086) will be appreciated.
