Gerald "Butch" A. Winninghoff, 70, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2013 at Community Memorial Hospital. He was born in West Bend on April 1, 1943 to Franklin and Helen (nee Koll). He graduated from West Bend High School Class of '61 and married Beverly H. Bruggink on May 9, 1970. He was the owner/operator of Butch's Construction. He enjoyed watching Packer and Badger games, playing Sheepshead and other card games, and going on Wednesday night fishing trips with his buddies. Above all, he loved spending time with family. Butch was a member of the Kewaskum Boar Hunters, Boltonville Sportsman Club, and past president of the Allenton Lions Club.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bev; children, Leeann (Timothy) Butschlick, Robyn (Todd) Erickson, Marnie Winninghoff; grandchildren, Sarah, Jenna, and Mara Butschlick, Cheyenne, Sierra, and Dakota Erickson; brother, Donald (Carol); siblings-in-law, Doris DeMastar, Lola (Ken) Lindow, Roland (Kathy), Allen (Ruth), Wayne (Carol), and Harold Jr. (Suzi) Bruggink. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Mary Lee, brother Joseph, parents-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and three sisters-in-law.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 6:00 PM at St. Michael's Catholic Church (8883 Forest View Rd, Kewaskum, WI 53040) with Fr. Ed Kornath presiding. The visitation will be at the church on Monday, October 7th from 3:00 PM until 5:45 PM. Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park on Tuesday, October 8th at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kewaskum Food Pantry or Holy Trinity School in Kewaskum.
