December 1, 1938 – July 7, 2024

George H. Rauh, 85, of
West Bend , WI , passed away peacefully at home on July 7, 2024, after a courageous fight with Mantle Cell Lymphoma.

George was born on December 1, 1938, to Erwin and Lillian (Wiesner) Rauh.  He grew up in Slinger on the family farm.  George was a very active member of the Slinger Happy Workers 4-H Club. Through the many 4-H activities, he met Darlyne Hosp, and married the love of his life on September 26, 1959, at Immanuel United Church of Christ,
West Bend .

George was employed at Simplicity Mfg. in
Port Washington for 31 years and retired in 1999.  He also worked at Ataco Steel in Grafton.

George truly enjoyed the outside farm life, raising various animals and growing sweet corn, pumpkins, and many other vegetables and flowers on their farm south of
West Bend .  He was a hard working man that could fix just about anything and took pride in the appearance of their yard.  George enjoyed dancing, playing cards and other games, traveling, and going to the casino.

He was on the board of directors for Midland Consumer Co-op, a member of the Farm Bureau of Washington County, and the West Bend Moose Lodge #1398.  He was also a member of
Northbrook Church .

George is survived by his loving wife of almost 65 years, Darlyne, and four daughters: Nancy (Doug) Petsch, Patty (Bob) Van Beek, Sue (John) Chinault, and Cyndi (Brian Haugland) O'Connell.

He is survived by 10 grandchildren: Jesse (Amanda) Gall, Amy Petsch, Peter and Claire Van Beek, Emily, Sam, Bryce (Abby), Karissa (Shaun Flemming) Chinault, Alexis O'Connell, Ashley (Will) DeNoyer and 6 great grandchildren: Gavin, Porter, Adalyn, George, Lucy and Jude.

He is also survived by his sister, Lois Beistle, brother Erwin (Mardell) Rauh, sister-in-law Vija Hosp, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

George was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, Peter and Sylvia Hosp, infant daughter Mary, sister Ruth (Lester) Kratz, brother and sister-in-laws: Rayner Beistle, Robert (Janice) Hosp, Ted Hosp, Peter (Gracie) Hosp, and Diann (Doug) Fritsch.

A Celebration of Life for George will be held at Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W. Paradise Dr, West Bend) on Sunday, July 14 th with Visitation starting at 2:00 pm and a Service at 4pm.

John Bauernfeind, Pastor of Northbrook Church, will be officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Aurora Health Hospice for their loving care.
