Gene Arnold Hansen age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19th, 2014. Gene was born on April 24, 1930 to the late Arnold and Norma (nee Koerble) Hansen. He later went on to serve in the Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict from March 28, 1951 - March 8, 1953. After serving in the Army, Gene married Juanita (nee Winget) on November 28, 1953. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend and retired from Gehl Company where he worked for 46 years.
Gene is survived by his four sons Jeffrey (Beverly) of Kewaskum, Ronnie (Kathy) of Oostburg, Michael of San Antonio, TX, Brian (Karen) of Sheboygan; daughter Mary (Jeffrey) Retzlaff of Slinger; sister Phyllis (Don) Breaker of Neenah; 11 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Juanita, his son Gary and his brother James.
A funeral service for Gene will be held on Thursday July 24, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. at the West Bend Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr.) with Pastor David Schoob officiating. Full Military Honors will take place following the service. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service at 7:00 P.M. at the Phillip Funeral Home. Interment will take place Friday July 25, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Washington County Memorial Park.
