Gary Michael Maras (1964-2025)
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Gary Michael Maras, who departed this life on Monday, October 6, 2025 in Jackson, Wisconsin after a courageous battle with dementia. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to David and Constance Maras. Gary is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sharon (Muellenbach), Maras, his daughter Nikita Maras, age 14, father David Maras, sister Natalie Armstrong (Gary) and brother Anthony Maras (Mary-Beth), Sister in law's Karen Koehn (Steve) and Sandra Meindl, (Mark). He is furthered survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Gary is preceded in death with immediate family by his mother Constance Maras and Grandma Ivory Peterson and Grandma Julia (Lu) Maras.
Gary will be remembered for his quick wit and kind heart. He had a passionate career working for Yamaha Motor Corporation for approximately 20 years. His sense of adventure for snowmobiling, going on ATV rides, biking, camping, turkey and deer hunting were enjoyed throughout his life. He enjoyed attending many music concerts along with meeting a lot of famous musicians. He also had the opportunity to travel to many different states and countries. Gary had a love for classic cars, motorcycles, fun games of Uno with his family along with hanging out at parks and lakes brought joy to him. Gary's favorite color was blue and was a huge Minnesota Vikings football fan.
The family would like to thank the staffing at Charter Senior Living of Hasmer Lake in Jackson, Wisconsin, Lily Healthcare Medical Group in Brookfield, Wisconsin, Froedtert Clinic and Hospital in West Bend, Wisconsin and Brighton Hospice in Brookfield, Wisconsin for taking care of Gary before his passing along with Phillip Funeral Home with assisting on all the funeral arrangements and Father Jacob Strand at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Parish in West Bend, Wisconsin with the private church mass for Gary.
We take comfort in knowing Gary is at peace and we will meet again someday. We love you!
