Garrett "Gary" Perkins Jr.
Peacefully born to Eternal Life on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Froedtert Hospital,
surrounded by his beloved family, at the age of 93. He was born in Kentucky, the
son of Garrett "Ed" and Anna Perkins. After high school, Gary relocated to
Milwaukee, WI. He was a proud United States Army Veteran serving during the
Korean Conflict between 1951-1953. Gary met and married the love of his life,
Beverly Doran, on October 6, 1956. He worked at American Motors for 30 years
until his retirement. After retirement he kept busy as a "Jack of all Trades" from
bagging groceries, helping at campgrounds, and golf course maintenance. Gary
was a member of the West Bend Moose Lodge, Local UAW, Nabob and Theresa
Snowmobile Clubs, Golf member of 18 Hole Men's Association in Florida, and
Greenfield Park Seniors League. Being an avid golfer, Gary got a "Hole in One" at
Del Tura in Florida, and loved to tell the story. On Sundays, you could find Gary
watching Nascar or the Packers, two of his favorites. He also enjoyed fishing,
boating, gardening, cars, and was very proud of his yard. Gary always had a smile
on his face, a story to tell, and his presence was felt wherever he went. For the
past 20 years, Gary was a Florida Snowbird, happily dividing his time between
winters in Florida, and summers up north on Lake Puckaway and in Wauwatosa
with his significant other, and second love, Mary "Molly" Brown. Most of all he
loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He
was our rock and our hero.
Gary is survived by his children Debbie Perkins, Cindy (Paul Bangart) Perkins, and
Brenda (fiancé Joe Goebel) Perkins; Significant Other Mary "Molly" Brown;
grandchildren Paul (Michelle) Neumann, Jessica (Ray) Habenicht, Jennifer Akins,

Too" Flasch, and Oliver "Big O" Bong. He is further survived by Molly's daughter
