Forest Roger Towne, age 83, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2025 at The Kathy Hospice. He was born on October 25, 1942 in Rhinelander, WI to Clayton and Esther (nee Hatcher) Towne.
Forest enjoyed hunting and was nicknamed Eagle eye by family and friends. He further enjoyed fishing, fly fishing, family poker games, listening to music, watching westerns and watching football. He was happiest when spending time with his family, tinkering in his garage, or being the family handyman. Forest worked at Weasler Engineering for forty years, retiring at the age of 62.
Forest is survived by his four children; Doug (Tammy) Towne, Jean (Brad) Maurer; Ken (Debbie) Towne, Susie (Steve) Schroeder; seven grandchildren, Nicole (Jake) Rogge, Tyler (Hannah) Towne, Adam Schodron, Justin (Miranda Stocke) Towne, Courtney Maurer (Andy) Cedzo, Bret Maurer, and Mason & Logan Schroeder; along with six great-grandchildren, Jameson, Lennon, Rynlee, Leo, August, and August.
Forest has four surviving siblings, Betty Cooper, Robert "Charlie" "Bob" (Joanne) Towne, Michael "Mickey" Towne and Janice Towne.
Forest is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (nee Harris); his parents; and siblings; James Towne, Louise Nelson, Dorothy Norton, Raymond Towne, and William "Bill" Towne.
A Celebration of Life for Forest will be held at later date.
