, 2025, at the age of 93.
Preceded in death by her parents John and Florence O'Brien, her husband Dale Timm and her siblings and their spouses, David O'Brien (Dorie), John O'Brien (Peg), Jim O'Brien (Pat), twin Sr. Rosemary O'Brien, and Peggy Vespalec (Jim).
Florence Ann is survived by her sisters-in-law Judith Berger O'Brien and Marilyn O'Brien, her 21 nieces and nephews, and many greats.
Florence Ann grew up in Whitefish Bay, WI on Diversy Ave as the younger twin, making her the fifth of six children. After graduating from Whitefish Bay High School, she entered the School Sisters of St. Francis convent and received her bachelor's degree from Alverno College. She began her teaching career in Naperville, IL until 1965 when she left the convent and relocated back to Wisconsin. She taught in the Whitefish Bay school district while working on a master's degree, specializing in reading. As a long-time teacher, Florence Ann made an impact upon the lives of so many. Up until the end, she kept in contact with many former students from decades ago.
While teaching, she also met her husband, Dale, a band teacher in the same school district. They married in 1967. Dale and Florence Ann lived in Brown Deer until moving to Mequon. In the late 1970's they bought a cottage in West Bend on Silver Lake, eventually deciding to remodel it and make it their home year-round. It was a gathering location for many wonderful get-togethers with their large circle of family and friends. Although Florence Ann and Dale did not have any children, they showered their love and attention on their many nieces and nephews, not to mention the many students who passed through their classrooms.
Many thanks to the caring staff at Heritage Senior Living, especially Steve Tominsek, and Brighton Hospice Care for their loving support during her final weeks.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (521 Congress Street, Newburg). A Celebration of Life will be held at the church after Mass.
