Florence H. Lechner (nee Black), 86, of St. Germain, passed away on September 21, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI. She was born to Frank and Louisa Black on September 3, 1927 in Hartford and graduated from Hartford High School. She married Joseph J. Lechner on January 30, 1947. Florence was employed at Broan for 23 years and retired to St. Germain in 1989. She enjoyed staying active; loved feeding the humming birds and deer; enjoyed recording weather temperatures (she may have missed her calling); and watching the Packers.
She is survived by her son, Terry (Patricia) Lechner of West Bend; grandchildren, Dr. Terri (Dr. Jason Martin) Lechner of NC, Kimberly (Doug) Hoy of Baraboo, Crystal Askari of Milwaukee, Alison Lechner of Milwaukee; great-grandchildren, Dezarae and Zachary Hoy, Abyan Askari; brother, Clarence (Joyce) Black of Aurora, IL, and sister-in-law, Rosie Lechner of Hartford. She is further survived by numerous relatives and friends.
Florence is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Lechner; sisters and brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be held at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend) on Monday, November 25, 2013 beginning at 1:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM, with Mike Cox presiding.
Terry and Patricia would like to extend a special thank you to Florence's caregivers in ICU at Marshfield Hospital, friends and relatives who called, visited, and provided support—especially their children.
