Florence Emma Endres (nee Orhmund), Age 94 of Hartford, died on November 17, 2018 at the Waterford of Hartford. Florence was born on February 3, 1924 in the Town of Barton to the late Albert and Lena (nee Otto) Ohrmund. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. Throughout Florence's life, worshipping her Savior was important to her, so Sunday worship was always part of the weekly schedule for her and her family. Florence was employed at Amity Leather Products, then at the West Bend Company Hartford Plant, which was later bought out by Chrysler, for over 31 years. In June 1944, she married Erwin Blank at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. They separated in 1958. On June 29, 1968, she married William "Bill" Endres at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in West Bend. The following year they joined St. Paul Lutheran Church in Slinger. Florence and Bill spent many summers at their summer home on Mayflower Lake near Birnamwood, Wisconsin. Other activities she enjoyed were making various food items for family gatherings, searching for hickory nuts and cracking them in the fall, and quilting in her retirement years.
Florence is survived by son, Glenn (Karen) Blank; grandchildren, Bonnie (James) Wierzbicki, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Metke, great grandchildren, Kate (Jacob) Schlief, Megan Wierzbicki, Madeline Metke, Isabella Metke and Gabriella Metke. She is further survived by her sister Ruth Redlin of West Bend and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband Bill (1/9/2013); granddaughters Annette and Angela Blank (1971), Linda Blank (2004); six brothers: Oscar (Veronica), Elmer, Harold (Voleska), Ervin (Clara), Wilmer (Mabel) and Albert (Valda) Ohrmund; and five sisters, Norma, Esther (Andrew) Staehler, Eleanor, Gertrude (Lawrence) Minch and Viola (Delmar) Derge, and brother-in-law Wilbur Redlin.
A Funeral Service for Florence will be at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 23rd at St. Paul Lutheran Church, (799 St. Paul Drive, Slinger, WI 53086) with the Reverend Benjamin Golisch officiating.
