Fern Mildred Flack (Goeman), 89, of Lakewood, WI passed away on July 10,2026. She was born in Antigo, WI on July 8,1937 to Fred and Luella (Nee: Keen) Goeman. When she was a teenager her family moved to Milwaukee, WI.
Fern was first married to LewAllen Bills, who preceded her in death. Together they shared their only son Scott. Fern later married Harold Flack, with whom she shared many happy years until his passing in October 2015. Fern was employed as an Assistant Underwriter for various Insurance companies during her career.
After retiring, Harold and Fern moved to Lakewood, WI where they would garden, visit local establishments, play cards, do weekly sign in, and dine out while enjoying an old fashioned.
Later in life, Fern loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She kept busy doing puzzles, playing cards (Sheephead and Doughnut), and taking an occasional trip to Las Vegas. Fern was an avid football enthusiast and looked forward to all of the Packer games.
Fern will be deeply missed by her son Scott A. Bills (Rita), grandchildren; Anna (Tyler) Larsen, Allyson (C.J.) Guzan, Charlie (Annie) Bills, and great-grandchildren; Brady, Adam, Kailey, Theo, Tahlia, and Evelyn. She will also be missed by her sister-in-law Genevieve Bills, her caring nephew Steve Dufresne and special friends; Nancy Johnson, Diane Platke and Trina Dinkelman. Fern is preceded in death by her parents; Fred and Luella, Her first husband LewAllen Bills, husband Harold Flack, twin sister Fay Dufresne, sisters; Florence Klitzka, Donna Sporleder, brothers; Lynn, Phillip, and Jimmy Goeman. Sister-in-laws; Opal Goeman, Deanna Goeman, brothers-in law; Roland Klitzka, Eugene Sporleder, and stepsisters; Kathy Best and Mickey Holzer.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Fern’s Aurora Heath Care doctors, Charter Independent Living (West Bend) staff and friends, Froedtert West Bend Hospital, as well as Kathy Hospice for their care and compassion for Fern.
Private services will be held at a later date with her immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the
American Cancer Society have been suggested.
